In my second YouTube video, I delve into the themes of the book A Time to Dance by Padma Venkatraman and how it fits into Disability Pride Month. This book pushes us to ask questions about preferred language as it relates to disability and to explore the process from grief to acceptance to pride that can come with acquiring a new disability or chronic illness. Written in verse, this piece of fiction is inspired by Sudha Chandran, a famous Indian dancer who also happens to be an amputee.
