February 2025 Writing Contest Submissions

Published on 31 January 2025 at 00:26

The theme for our February Writing Contest is ROMANCE!

The theme is romance, but that doesn't mean you can't genre-bend. Romantasy, paranormal romance, romantic sci-fi, historical romance, horrormance, the list goes on. All forms of flash fiction (two-sentence story, fifty word drabble,  280-word twitterature, etc.), short stories, and poems will be accepted as long as they are under 2,000 words. Please note - I do not put an age restriction on these contests. Please refrain from egregious sexual or violent content and let me know if there is an important content warning.

How to Submit:

There are three ways to submit your work.

  • Via Neobook:
    • publish your completed story on Neobook
    • include the hashtag #flashfictionfun so that other participants can find and read your work
    • direct message the contest moderator (@LauraWrites), (include the contest you are submitting to, the name you would like to be credited under, and your pronouns)

  • Via Booksie:
    • publish your completed story on Booksie
    • include the hashtag #flashfictionfun so that other participants can find and read your work
