Congratulations to the winners of the December writing contest! The theme was WRITER'S CHOICE!
Thank you to everyone who participated in this month's Flash Fiction and Poetry Contest! First, I'd like to congratulate everyone on a job well-done. It's interesting to see the way submissions shift from month to month. Sometimes they are all poems, other times a blend, and occasionally all short stories, which was the case this month. The genres ranged from adventure to thriller, holiday fiction to fantasy.
As usual, I encourage you to read each other's work and to support one another on your writing journeys. These writing contests are about community and supporting one another as writers. One way we can do that is by reading and celebrating each other's work. I'll be featuring stories and poems from this month's contest during the coming month, but for those posted on other sites, you can find them at the links below.
Image Description: A shiny, black pen with an old-fashioned, golden nib rests horizontally across a white sheet of paper. Only the bottom portion of the pen is visible. Scrolls are etched into the nib.
